Visa/ Stay Information - Indonesia

-apply at point of entry for 30 days-$25 US / 100,000 IDR departure tax

-unsure if longer stay is actually permissable due to laws changing and inconsistent info - need to verify this directly

-may be able to get a Visa directly from embassy as UK citizen for 60 days which must be used within 3 months of issuance?

-UK citizen requires 1,000 pounds per month to support stay?

When I asked the visa dept of my travel agency about this, they said what you just said. You have a UK passport, too, no? Or: can you leave after 30 days and return?

I recommend asking an agent. They were much faster than any enquiries I sent to embassies, though in most of my cases, I will have to waste a day picking up a visa in the city before the one that requires it.

THEN ... I looked today at what the UK Foreign Office says about Indonesia: do not travel there, basically. Fucksticks.

Decided to subscribe to google news alerts on all the countries my FCO says are bad news - then at least I'm informed of *where* in those countries is a no-go area.
